🐝 Recycled Sterling Silver Honeybee Pendant with Handmade Clasp

A piece of wearable history, handcrafted in Somerset to celebrate the resilience of nature.

This delicate, sustainable necklace carries a powerful two-decade story. I originally designed this honeybee series in my studio back in the early 2000s as a direct response to the alarming decline of the honeybee and all of our vital pollinating insects.

At the time, I chose the iconic honeybee as a golden ambassador to raise awareness for a silent crisis. In the years that followed, this global anxiety sparked the massive "Save Our Bees" movement, inspiring thousands of people to join the British Beekeepers' Association and plant for pollinators. Today, that collective action has successfully turned the tide, and managed honeybee numbers have brilliantly rebounded.

However, while the honeybee has found its footing, our wild pollinators—the solitary bees, bumblebees, and hoverflies—are still quietly struggling for survival. When you wear this pendant, you are wearing a celebration of a crisis turned around, and a beautiful, timeless reminder that our wild spaces still need our care and protection.
